Three generations of the Schweigkofler-Mottironi family have made Putzenhof into reality. The grandparents, Viktoria and Johann, bought an old farm on a hill south of Bolzano in 1956. The vineyards were old and neglected, the house in ruins, and the access road almost impassable… but the position, exposure and climatic conditions were excellent and they saw it’s potential.

In 2009, Roman took over Putzenhof’s 5.5 hectares of vineyards. The favorable microclimate means the wine produced have wonderful flavor, minerality and balanced acidity.
